Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Have you ever had a relationship? Of course you have!....Do you remember the early heady days when it was fun and you laughed and enjoyed each others company and you slept well with a smile on your face and joy in your heart.  But.....as time went on you realised it was getting a bit serious and your 'partner' wanted more and more of your time.   You realised that actually this relationship is getting a bit unhealthy and you think it's time to cool down...no of course you don't want it to end because you enjoy their company but just not so often...can we just be friends?

Well that's me and wine!! There's nothing I like more at the end of the day than to settle down with a bottle (yep a whole one!) of red and unwind.  I know it's too much and have done for a long time and think now I'm approaching the grand old age of 58 (well next June actually) that it's time to look after myself.

So there you go...it's out there for you all to see....I have a bit of an unhealthy relationship with wine.  I'd like us to be friends and see each other on social occasions or weekends but not every day.

To kick start breaking this habit I am doing Dry January and thought I'd raise some money for a cause that is close to both mine and some dear family's hearts..The Stroke Association.  My beautiful sister-in-law/friend had a stroke on my niece's wedding day and never recovered. She was 60.  No warning except a headache and sickness and that was it.  Devastating.  It touched me in a way that nothing else ever has and made me realise how precious life is and how blessed I have been to have had Jean in mine.

So I'd like to do this in memory of dear Jean Fray and hope you will support me however small. I know I'll probably struggle the first few days but will think how lucky I am and that I owe it to my beautiful daughter Meggie and hubby Simon to look after myself.

Thanks for reading this and for your support......Cheers! Xxx
